Support
Start with a local planner, then add widgets, reminders, or optional sync when you want them. Here are answers to the most common questions.
Report a problemYour saved timetable, tasks, tags, grades, and preferences are stored locally. If you enable sync in Settings, selected planner data is also stored in your private iCloud database or your own private GitHub repository. SwatPlan does not operate a user-account server.
On iPhone or iPad, long-press your Home Screen and choose Add Widget, or customize your Lock Screen, then select SwatPlan. On Mac, use Edit Widgets on the desktop or in Notification Center and choose Class Progress.
The current download is a development build for Macs registered with the developer. It is not a notarized public release. An unregistered Mac cannot run it; contact support about testing availability.
Open Settings → Sync on each device. Choose iCloud using the same Apple Account, or follow the built-in GitHub guide to connect a private repository. Sync is off by default and checks for changes while the app is open. Appearance and reminder preferences stay local.
The Map destination currently previews planned features. Building search, walking directions, and accessible routes are still in development.
Course information can change. Please open a public-repository issue with the course code, section, and the correction needed.

SwatPlan stores the information you enter or select so the app can remember your setup between launches. This may include:
This information is stored locally on your device. SwatPlan does not operate an account system or upload your planner to a developer-controlled server. Screenshot recognition runs on your device; screenshots are not uploaded for recognition.
Sync starts disabled on every device. When you enable it, SwatPlan exchanges your timetable, tasks, tags, grade entries, and blocked times with either your private iCloud CloudKit database or a private GitHub repository you configure. The provider processes that information under its own privacy policy: Apple or GitHub.
GitHub access tokens are stored in your device’s Keychain and are not included in synced planner data. Appearance, notification permissions, wake-up alarms, and reminder preferences stay local. Sync runs while the app is open, and you can turn it off in Settings.
If you enable class or task reminders, SwatPlan asks the operating system to schedule local notifications. Optional wake-up alarms on iPhone and iPad use system alarm permission. SwatPlan does not use remote push notifications. You can change these permissions in your device’s Settings.
SwatPlan includes optional links to external services, including Google Maps, Swarthmore College course information, and Rate My Professors. When you choose one of these links, the external service may process information under its own privacy policy. SwatPlan does not receive data about your activity on those services.
SwatPlan does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites.
Use the app’s controls to remove local planner information and disable pending reminders. Turning sync off does not delete local information or existing remote copies. Manage iCloud copies and GitHub repository data through the respective provider; GitHub commit history can retain earlier planner data, including deleted items. Keep your sync repository private.
SwatPlan is intended for college students and is not directed to children under 13. SwatPlan does not operate a service that collects children’s information.
This policy may be updated if SwatPlan’s features or data practices change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
